I found most of my chicks were pipping then suffocating, so if it cheeps it's beak and nose get cleared. I will then leave it 48 hours and if it's still in the shell it gets opened until I find blood vessels or the chick has its whole head out.

So I just set tonight 8 BLRW, 3 SS, 1 BCM/RIR cross, 10 SLP, 2 SLP/EE, and 2 F1 SLP/SLP/EE. Next week I will be getting a 12 eggs from Ruby to give it another try. I hope they arrive the same as yours Amy!!! . Praying the post office handles them better. I plan to hand turn 5 times a day depending on the air cells with the silkies and up that humidity to 40 to 50 percent.
