Sorry to start a new thread for just a squat, but I'm just so excited, and I had to tell SOMEONE!

I'm new to raising chickens and didn't understand the significance of squatting when my hen started this 2 weeks ago. My first 2 eggs were found the day after christmas. She must have laid them christmas eve and christmas day!!! I was beyond excited. So excited for you as well!!!!

One of my seven Barred Rocks squatted ten days ago. As of today five are squatting. No eggs yet, but noticed that nests are disturbed daily. GC

I'm obsessed now!! I keep following them around seeing if the other two will start squatting... lol.. I only have 2 Barred Rocks and 1 leghorn. So far only one is laying... Can't wait for the other two to follow suit.

I know how frustrating that is. I've been on pins and needles. Can't wait for it to happen for you. But, I'm not gonna lie... I can't bring myself to eat them yet. Its crazy I know, but it feels like I'm eating them...???? I hope that goes away soon... They look delicious lol

With my first Flock in 2016, I didn't eat any till I got a full carton. . Them tiny eggs from my Golden Comets were delicious. GC
