She was outside, freezing, skinny/hungry mite-ridden (and no doubt flea and worm ridden), filthy, smelly, matted so badly with knots that she probably will have to be shaved, as well as having many bare patche sof skin. Likely dumped by some reprehensible member of my species (no one in my itty bitty town has reported missing a cat). So now I have another. She-who-needs-a-name needs a name. Can't seem to think of anything fitting. She is sweet as can be. Does anything come to mind? She's long hair, black except for 4 white tootsies, beautiful white chest and white beneath her nose. And pure white long whiskers.

My friend used to have a cat that looked similar when she was little and it's name was Mittens.

What a beautiful (and lucky) kitty. Glad she found you. She needs a nice, sweet, old fashioned female name, like Cassandra or Letitia or Hannah. Depending on how tall the white on her white feet is, you could call her "Sneakers", a little different from the Boots, Mittens, etc. I kind of think a more feminine name would suit her better. She's not a tomboy, is she?

Let us know what you decide. You are an angel to take her in.

She looks like a minked up showgirl, how about Sable?

Lucky kitty, God bless your welcoming heart.

I think you said it.... Tootsie.

Or Vagabond... poor little Tootsie!!! (or Vega)
