Shed to coop renovation

No. No wondering. It is easier converting a shed.
All that ventilation in the gable peak is excellent. But you are going to need to block the rain from getting in. Are you going to re-roof? If you do, you can install larger overhangs on the gable ends to protect the vents. You already have excellent overhangs front and back.
I turned this shed:

Into this coop with roof extensions all the way around.

And I did it by myself. If I can, you can!
Wow! That’s impressive. Did you actually move the door? Or is the door to the left and the middle is just painted? Looks great. How long did it take?

No, I moved the doors. And cut down the bottoms which were rotted anyway because the larger roof overhangs prevented me from opening them. I reframed all the walls for my window and door openings. I had picked up some salvaged windows from a local recycler so I framed the rough openings to fit those windows. The main access door to the coop is on the right side as you look at that picture. I saw someone had dumped an old exterior door out at the curb for garbage so I snagged it, repaired it and installed that.

Because I tore the roof off including the decking to install the overhangs and reframed all the walls, it took me about 7 weeks to do all the work. I worked on it about 4 full days a week.
I used to flip houses so I have lots of power tools at my disposal.

Don't show me that pic. You look more skilled. Haha. I did think about the overhangs. Im reusing as much as possible. I do have some narrow metal signs I was gonna size out after I get the Hc in. Definitely need to cut the windows for a little more ventilation
Try to find some salvage windows on Craigslist. Then you can frame the walls where you want them. Top hinge them so when it rains nothing can get in. Although with that front overhang of yours, you could make them really cute by having two narrow windows that opened shudder style.
Your coop is going to be great!!

The front overhangs so the front windows I'm not to worried about. I was going to add plexiglass to slide or hinged in case. The sides are gonna be tough. I'm surprised how dry it was inside this morning after the down pours over night. But overhangs definitely still needed. He had a windows framed but not actually open so I'm just cutting them open

Also the problem is due to some health issues I was down and out for about a week so that set me behind and the weekends are pretty much all I have. I leave for work about 5:30 AM and don't get home till about 8 PM lately. And those chickens are ready and I am not quite I would love to be able to replace the back of the roof that overhangs but time and ways to get material are limited. Plus I don't have any help and I'm only about 5 foot tall and about 100 pounds. I'm strong for my size but that's still not saying much

A brain and bicep bar can increase your 'size'. ;)
You GO girl!

Too bad your crushed for time...looks like a great building.
Is the roof and floor intact...pics of inside, please?

Most of these are from before I got everything out except the last one. Floor is pretty good shape. It held fine when all 4 goats decided the wanted to explore. The roof looks good. The shingles on the back are starting to wear but not bad. I will probably replace that with sheet-metal ( hate shingles) when I have to replace sheet metal on the goat shelter later this year.

He had Rafts for the old pool stored in there and when I cleared everything out I left it right outside of the shed to take it to the dump the next morning. I heard my goats making a fuss in the morning and I went out there and I guess the wind got heavy because there was colorful rafts everywhere. I guess them blowing around kind of freaked them out. It was pretty funny

Took the hose out and turned on jet to kinda 'power wash ' the sides and it took a lot of the finish off. I had this eater egg blue exterior paint. I didn't intend on painting the outside but actually it looks really good! Kinda glad I did that
