Im turning my 8x8 shed into a coop we use to keep are rubbish in it so the rats got in through the floor boards im putting concrete down and im wondering how much bags will i need

Alot! It depends on how thick you are making it - look on the bags you buy -it gives the dimensions of coverage. I'd put down something else cheaper then cover that with concrete. (I forget what its called but it's used for driveways and stuff - crushed rock and sandy stuff)

First find the area of your coop by multiplying Length X Width X Depth and divide by 80. This is for an average depth of 4 inches. That will let you know how many yards of concrete you will need. Then simply check the bags (which will be MANY) to see how much area 1 (one) bag will cover.

I think you could find another alternative to your situation.

Hope this helps

I also believe it is called "crush and run". It will pack down and harden like concrete. Don't know how much it cost in "Eire" and how easily it can be hauled and dumped on your site.

Thank goodness for Spell check

You will have to convert my yards to meters. I assumed that you would. 3.25 yds/m. I dont know how big the bags of concrete mix are there but here 80 lbs/kilos are the biggest we can get. Dont know how may yds it will make either. But with that being said...... it is a lot of work mixing it and trying to spread it. It will take several "friends" to help

I think I would just replace the floor with sheeting and then place traps around to catch the vermin.
