hello!
I very recently noticed that one of my sheep has a small puncture wound on her head. At least, that’s what it looks like. It’s right by her ear, kind of by her upper eyelid. I think it is either very new or I just didn’t notice it—I was out there just 5 minutes ago petting her and I didn’t notice anything. I took some pictures of it—sorry for the poor quality of them; she won’t hold still!
There’s a little tiny bit of dried blood outside the wound, but the inside doesn’t seem bloody at all!
I just wish I could get a better look at it and a better picture...I spotted a tick sort of near that spot the other day on her, if that helps. I couldn’t get her to hold still to let me pull the tick off though.
Do you think I should try to treat this wound? Or is it small enough to just let nature heal it herself? Flushing it out with saline would be very hard since she is such a wiggly thing and she has hair covering it, so I’m thinking more along the lines of letting her body heal it herself.
Thank you so much!
