I've been getting a really light egg, almost white, for several days. I have some hens right about laying age and thought one of them was giving me a double yoker because this egg color was new. However, for the last 2 days when I've checked for eggs, the same hen has been in the box with this light shelled egg. She's a black sex-link so a darker brown is what I'm used to. She is 15 months old and from my first set of chicks. I looked at her today and she is missing a few feathers on her back just before her tail feathers. What does this light shell color indicate? Is she sick? What should I be looking for? Do I need to separate her? Check my other hens? We haven't gone through a molt yet so I don't know if it's related to that? The only change we've gone through is switching feed from DuMor to an organic feed from an area feed store. We hatched chicks in January so we've been on starter and starter/grower until 3 weeks ago when I introduced this new feed. Any advice is appreciated!
