Sorry... I'm super tired and waiting for a late meeting to end. I did not realize you are the OP! LOL. I thought someone was commenting on a photo.
lolll do you have any good recomendations im just feeing a high protein layer feed from tractor ans supplies because her feathers are looking bad. shes been trying to lay all day but i think shes having troubleSorry... You have been good advice to give her calcium for a few days. Eggs without shells can lead to other reproductive problems, as they are hard to lay and can cause back-up. Can you get her/them a good layer ration?
I would administer (by putting it in her beak amd allowing her to swallow OR my crushing it into a treat she finds irresistible) a calcium citrate (meant for humans) with D3 if possible.lolll do you have any good recomendations im just feeing a high protein layer feed from tractor ans supplies because her feathers are looking bad. shes been trying to lay all day but i think shes having trouble
@icy_flames Is she still laying normal eggs? I am having this problem now.Give her a calcium pill once a day for a few days and see if that helps. One of my hens was laying soft shells in the last week. She's been getting a crushed pill mixed with boiled egg everyday and it's definitely helping her. I think she has laid two normal eggs now.
Yes!@icy_flames Is she still laying normal eggs? I am having this problem now.
