Shell-less egg

I have a brown leghorn that has been laying beautiful eggs for about 3 weeks. She laid a normal egg earlier today, but this evening, she squatted (outside the coop) and laid a shell-less egg. I am learning as I go, any help with an explanation and/or remedy for this will be appreciated
 
um.. Most likely there was a "mix up or a problem" in the egg system witch means maybe no egg for at least 1-2 days :/

New laying hens will sometimes lay "weird eggs" .. not to worry, their systems are just now getting into gear. Here's a page with good info on the subject for you to look at:
