A few of my 18 free range laying Brown Shaver pullets became lethargic, hunched back, tail tucked under, standing on same spot for ages, eyes closing, possible diarrhoea, + started laying shell less eggs. They were better after 3-4 days on special diet + separated in warm shed, but egg production is still 9 instead of 18, with 5 shell less eggs, a day. They are on commercial pellets, with plenty of grit. Any idea what they had, + prognosis for egg production, [email protected] NEW ZEALAND.

Honestly, I've no idea what happened. Since they free range, it's possible they could have gotten into something? Are they all behaving normally again, with good appetite and behavior? If so, then I would think the problem with the eggs should clear up
