Shell less eggs after molt

Most my girls went through molt in Dec and Jan and I was feeding them Feather Fixer and Flock Raiser, since they started laying again I've been getting some shells less eggs which I never got before. I had Oyster shell on the side but it looks like it isn't been touched. I'm not able to determine who is doing it and I have a mixture of breeds. Is this common after molt?

The shell less part is due to insufficient calcium. I know you gave them oyster shells free choice and they ignored it. Remember that not all chickens graduate with Phd. degrees in nutrition. Some are just not smart enough to know to grab some shell granules. I myself do add some oyster shells mixed in their pellet feed as well as free choice. I use Alflock 2% calcium because not all of my chickens are layers. I find that most of the oyster shell granules are left behind at the bottom of the feeder. I just add more feed to it and mix. One thing to note is that oyster shells fed this way allow chickens to pick their morsels. Some of these crumbled shells do end up in the chickens stomach. They will not overdose on calcium doing it this way. It also adds grit into chickens diet.

Yes, it can happen when resuming laying after a molt...just like when they first start laying.
Lack of calcium may be part of the problem, tho feather fixer has a good amount of calcium in it.
Where they on this same diet while laying before going into molt?

You might sprinkle just a dozen pieces of oyster shell on the top of their feed for a couple days.
I did this with pullets on FR once and it worked well, they started eating the shell out of the separate container.

They were on Purina Layer with Oyster strong before molt, so I just switched them back to that. One chicken is still growing its feathers out after a very light molt, bit I think she is laying again. I've hardly ever gotten eggs from my Blue Wyandott and Silkie, they go on and off broody a lot, but I hope the Purina is not hurting them.
