Hi, Has anyone had experience of completely shell-less eggs? My 4 hens moved into a new-style plastic coop about 6 weeks ago and since then I have found whole eggs in the 'poop' tray when I let them out in the morning. There is no sign of shell or membrane (we occassionally used to get soft-shell eggs in the old coop) and none of the hens have egg on their beaks. They free-range during the day and have access to food, water, grit, shelter etc and all eggs during the day are normal. Help!!!!!!!!!

I HAD A QUAIL HEN THAT LAYED SHELL-LESS EGGS WHEN I SEPERATED HER TO CHECK GENDER. FROM WHAT I'VE READ ONLINE AND ON THIS SITE ITS USUALLY DUE TO STRESS MAYBE BEING IN A NEW COOP THAT THEY'RE NOT USED TO. MAYBE TRY GIVING THEM SOME OYSTER SHELL IT COULD BE LACK OF CALCIUM, I'M NO EXPERT BUT THATS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
