I use the same feed as you, and all my girls eat the oyster shells I keep on the side, I guess they just need more. Sounds like your doing just fine

Speaking of salt. Chickens are highly sensitive to salt. They can't expel excess like a mammal with a bladder.
Chickens require very little salt in their feed, .02%, just doubling it will result in excess consumption of water and wet droppings.
Five times the requirement of salt can result in death according to Poultry DVM.

It can also cause egg defects and shell-less eggs. From Poutry DVM.

Got her first egg today!!

Awesome! It is a big one too! This might sound silly to some, but I was so excited about my first egg, I blew it out to keep. It sits in a champagne glass in my curio.

Maybe thats why it took so long! Not silly! I was in my bath robe when i went to let them out and when i saw the egg i was running yelling to my husband
