Hello! If this should be moved to the Guinea area, I’d be more than happy to do so, but I don’t think I’d get quite as many answers. I have a flock of 7 guinea hens that are 5-6 months old - they just started laying last week. I was consistently getting one egg a day and then two eggs a day. Yesterday, one of the eggs had no shell, which I put towards them being new layers. Today, two eggs have no shells. They get 4g of calcium daily and they got 8g last night. They’re on a high quality gamebird crumble and fermented beet pulp. Should I just leave them be and assume that it’s because they’re still new? Should I increase their calcium? I don’t do oyster shells because they dump them everywhere. Any other suggestions are welcome!
