Shells are cracked when layed...

@evemfoster

That's good to know that those cracked eggs are still ok to eat!!! I have several cracked but none of them have ever broken the membrane. We wanted to make some deviled eggs anyhow so we'll use those! Thanks

The checked eggs don't boil well, they always leak unless you boil them extremely slowly.

We always put the cracked ones at the head of the line, so they got ate first. We had a lot of chickens (2000) and if there was a lot of the cracked ones mom would make ether an Angelfood cake or a Lemon Meringue Pie from scratch.

You can also save extra eggs for the winter by beating them and freezing. We use pint and quart Tupperware jugs to freeze eggs in. The kind with the red lid with the closeable opening at the top. Just take them out of the freezer and put them in the fridge to thaw when you need eggs. 1/4 cup equals one large egg.

Oh great information! Yeah, I guess I knew they would leak but for some reason it didn't cross my mind when typing haha! Freezing them is a wonderful idea! I didn't know I could do that so I will definitely be doing that tomorrow! Thank you again! :)
