just to update you, the little NN is doing great! she laid me an egg this AM and i put it into the bator just in case . . .
she really is adorable. i gave her and the new showgirl some mealworms last night and they gobbled them up.

congrats on the new chickies, i hope the woodpile keeps them safe, dry and out of the doggies mouth!

Cindy, she's being really good, actually! She didnt mind me lifting her wing at all, but that might actually be bad,lol. Definitely, if you go to a show, and its the last for a while, you have to get plenty to keep you sane til the next show! I came home with a Cuckoo Marans pullet and Im in love with the eggs she's laying!

Thanks, Peeps. I am, but I try not to be,lol. I didnt know this girl was setting until 2 weeks into it, and I couldnt kill em!

I know, Jayna! Its a curse, for sure. Im glad she was laying! I was not sure, so I couldnt promise anything, but Im glad she layed an egg for you. I would be really suprised if it isnt fertile. She was in with a rooster, so good luck! Thanks! My cousin was smart enough to put a board over the hen when it started raining, which really suprised me. Hopefully they are all fluffy and healthy tomorrow when I go see!
