We were finally able to locate an adult peahen locallly! So here she is...companion to our new peacock. She came with two eggs she was sitting on--maybe hers, maybe not. I put the eggs in the corner; you can see them in the photo. There were about 10 peahens at this place (and maybe a dozen peacocks). We're keeping her in our large brooder room in the barn. It is in the same barn where the peacock is, so they can look at each other. I'm not sure he knows what to make of her yet. He seems puzzled. I wonder if maybe he's never seen a female of his own kind before? How long should we keep them separated before we put them together? Thanks in advance.
