We started breeding Silkie chickens not too long ago and one thing we noticed when we tried to find chicks to expand our breeding program is that Silkies are virtually impossible to find during the fall and winter months. We hatch and brood our chicks in our home which enables us to have chicks year round, granted we are a very small breeder, we do have several chicks available right now if anyone has been having a hard time finding them.
We also just made a Facebook page we're pretty excited about! We have lots of pictures on there and are looking for ideas for a cute little photoshoot.
