Hi i keep my quails in the bottom of my aviary and all has been ok~ however, the last couple of days i have found the finch,s fledglings dead on the floor~ i,m guessing the quails have killed them~ any ideas how i can prevent this? tia

Would your finch fledglings norally land on the floor before the quail? Quail Id doubt would be the main reason, unless they pecked at it out of curiosity. Are the fledglings eaten at?

Quail will attack any bird including quail, that are not part of the covey. Predator birds excluded.

They were already dead when i discovered them, and the quails were pecking at them

i guess i need to move them whilst the finches are nesting
