Don't tell my chickens, but my aggressive calcium campaign seems to be paying off. My problem child actually gave me an egg WITHOUT a hole in it yesterday. In fact, it was so tough that it had calcium deposits on it. Maybe it's time to back off a bit.

Let's hope this keeps up.

(But really, don't tell the chickens I'm happy. They don't like me to be happy. They sit and plot all day long for ways to make my life interesting. They DO. Quit looking at me that way.)

Oh I DO understand. My chickens plot all day and night long as to how many times a day they can cause me to dash out to the coop. Wicked, wicked chickens. The worst part is hearing the snickers and laughter when I return to my house empty handed. They are hording their eggs. They like to worry me!

Got another egg with a hole in it last night. A much smaller hole that usual, though, so maybe we're still getting somewhere.
