Shhh- Top Secret!

Guess what's tomorrow! Lockdown day! We are getting so close, soo close.... Tomorrow morning I'll candle for the last time, then up the humidity and try to ignore the incubator until Friday- key word try.
We are technically supposed to be out of the dorms by 7 p.m. on Friday, but if you have transportation issues you can stay until Saturday night- so I will just spend the day enjoying the empty campus, and going to my favorite state park and hiking while I wait for any stragglers to hatch.
After that, I'll just hop in my car with my incubator, and fish, and speed home! Hopefully I won't get pulled over....

"Excuse me officer, I was just speeding so I could get these eggs home...hey look! A baby chicken! Now how about that?"
You WILL post pics right? :)

Good luck hun and congrats on making the newsletter!

Hi, I have had eggs that I've put in the fridge and then got a call from a neighbour with a clucky chook asking if I had any spare eggs.
As I have 7 hens and 1 rooster all my eggs should technically be fertile so gave my neighbour a dozen. They had probably been in the fridge up to a week.
Well, she now has 8 fluffy little babies hurtling around the coop looking very healthy.
I was surprised to hear that success rate after the eggs had been in the fridge so it would appear that it doesn't matter if they get cold so good luck with your project!

Too funny! The best line to get out of a ticket ever! So excited for your hatch! You will have a car full of cute peeping chicks- that should get you out of any tickets!

Little confused about this newsletter thing... but thanks?

Lockdown has begun! Candled, and all eight have movement and made it to lockdown! I upped humidity, and now I must watch and wait and take some midterms.
Its up to them now!

I was tempted to post from work to see how midterms are going and how lockdown is going and if you can do your papers without checking every 15 minutes to see if anything is happening... My lockdown starts when I get home from work tomorrow. I really need a camera that posts to the internet cause Monday will be the longest day.
