Will do! I'm nervous, too, and steeling myself as best I can for losses. I hear Polish are fragile and are often lost during shipping.
Keep us posted. This is such an exciting time of year. This my first year with chicks I have bought older pullets that was around 12-14 weeks .I was so scared something would go wrong but hearing all the success stories I think they outnumber the tragedy’s so try not to stress out. Post some pics after they are settled, can’t wait to see the fluff balls🥰🐥

USPS tracking says they should arrive tomorrow!

I'm ready for them. They will be temporarily housed in my livingroom. The brooder is set up. I will turn on the heat as soon as the PO calls so it's nice and warm when they arrive.

Violet and Dandelion are still in the same box, so I'll probably just stick the ba ies under them and try letting them co-parent. I won't be moving them this time. I'll section off part of the coop for them. When they take the babies out of the nest, I'll move them to the empty duck house, which, since the duckies prefer sleeping in the chicken coop, has become my grow-out coop. It's about 5' x 5' and has a small 4' x 5' area of the run sectioned off.

I hope it goes as easy as it did the last time I gave Violet babies...

OMG - the babies arrived TODAY at about 11am! I went on my lunch break and picked them up. They are all doing great - except the Polish (I am not surprised). She's hanging in there for now. I brought her to work with me. I gave her a little Nutridrench and a little water. She perked up a bit. I have her on my desk wrapped in a towel and a heating pad. I have hope for her. She's started peeping and opening her eyes, but it's going to be a long night.

The rest of the babies are home in the brooder, waiting for nightfall. I will post pics once I am off work - lol!

Oh I can’t wait to see them! You must be even more anxious to get home! Fingers crossed for your little one getting extra care.
