I ordered some silkie hatching eggs on eBay a few days ago, they arrived at my house to day. When I was candleing the eggs to look for cracks and check air cells, I noticed one of the eggs air cell was on the wrong end. My question is can I incubate it with the air cell in the pointy end and air cell up? The air cell is not detached just in the wrong end. Also how long should I wait before setting the eggs in my incubator?

You might as well try it. If it's not going to hatch you have nothing to lose.

The eggs have been in the incubator 3 days now so far 7 out of the 12 eggs I ordered are developing. The egg with the air cell on the wrong end is looking to be non-fertile. But it is still a little early to tell so I'm going to leave it in the bator for a few more days.

Day 5, 11 out of 12 eggs are developing. The only one not developing is the egg with the air cell on the wrong end.
