Got my Shipped eggs today one has a crack. I heard you can repair these. Can i use beeswax? I have no idea where my nailpolish went (i never use it lol)

Any other suggestions? She only sent 2 blue eggs and of course it's one of the ones i MOST want to hatch 😭 i can only see the crack not feel it.

I also read to let them sit 24-48hrs. I am picking more eggs up locally on Saturday.

You can use candle wax, here’s an article! Your biggest risk at this point is bacteria getting into the egg, so I would try to seal it off as best you can, and quickly.

You could also use liquid bandaid. Typically you may have to help these chicks out, because they might not be able to hatch through the wax or whatever you choose to use, so be prepared for that. This one may not even develop. Typically the further they are along when the crack happened, the greater chance they have to hatch. But we’ll see!

Thank You! I have some beeswax. I hope it hatches and I'll researching helping them out Just in case.

I agree over using something less harmful like wax or bees wax.

Now you may want to disinfect it sometimes, maybe once or twice a day. You can do that with a mix of water and listerine, and a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. (Other people often mention listerine mixes in egg incubators, so I think its probably safe. But to be fair, I hadn't done it myself; I found out about that after I'm already too far in for it to make a difference :S)
