I had three hatch. One hatched early and died in the shell, one is healthy, the other is questionable

Haha yeah, that was an embarrassing sentence. So what happened was I was using the terrible Little Giant incubator. It was fine until day 20. The humidity got way up after I took the turner out and the temperature dropped to 95-97 and I couldn’t regulate it no matter what I did. I freaked out and in the morning bought the 360.
I figured none of the chicks would hatch because of it but three did.

I use a little giant and I have excellent hatch rates.

But I want to know is did you buy a humidity gauge and salt test it?

I bought a Govee and let it go to room temperature before putting it into the incubator. I didn’t salt test it but its accurate because I stuck it into the 360 and it has the same temp and humidity as the machine is saying

Machines are not always right.

Never ever ever trust built in temp or humidity readings.

Always buy separate instruments and calibrate and salt test them.

It was 48-50 day 1-18 then it spiked to 80 and I couldn’t get it down
