Our girl is a Sussex and she's not that big. And we used lots of straw for the bedding

A bowl shaped nest is essential for good incubation. For me grass hay was a far better nesting material than straw.

Never heard of it. So I'm guessing it doesn't mold like normal hay? I'll look into it!

TSC carries it! Most hay and straw will mold if wet for prolonged conditions.

I was just there for chickens lol I'll have to go back. Also I'm very upset with tractor supply because they sold me what was supposed to be a hen and ended up being a rooster.
