Shipped eggs Question

OK, how long do i have to wait before I can put my eggs into the incubator after they have been shipped to me.? I read, wait 6 hours, also 12 hours and 24 hours. Can someone tell me what is the best waiting time? i just received some silkie eggs and I want to get them started as soon as possible but I'm a little confused on the settling time.

I let them set about 6 hours or so, and I have pretty descent hatches. I figure the longer they sit, the older they get.

24 hours doesn't do much, many people consider it a waste of time. People argue about 6 and 12, so if I were you, I'd just do 9 or so hours.

We unpack them and let them sit overnight and set them the following morning. There's not a set "time" we use. We set them in the morning so they will hatch during the day and not a night when we're trying to sleep.

I just let mine set for a couple of hours to come up to room temp and then in the bator they go...
