Does anyone put their eggs in the bator right away and not turn the turner on for the first couple of days, or is that not advised? Is the best way letting them sit for 12 - 24 hours before setting? I have an Brinsea Oco 20 if it matters. I'm bummed because my shipped eggs were suppose to be here on Saturday. I don't like the thought of them sitting around anymore..GRR... Thanks!

Folks leave them sit out to get to an ambient temp first before setting. If your egg's are ready just go ahead and set them and turn the turner on right away, that's what I do anyway.

Let them sit at least 12 hrs it lets the egg settle from being bounced around in shipping.plus it lets the eggs adjust to the room temp.if the eggs are cold on the inside it will shock or kill the eggs so let them rest first,
