I received my silkie eggs today. Ordered 12 got 14. 1 was oozing, but the extras covered it and can't complain. 1 had air cell damage, but after settling for a few hours it resolved.

2 of the eggs have red spots. After reading a bunch of threads about blood spots/meat spots, I still have a question...

I know they are still good to eat, but are they hatchable assuming they are fertile?

I have a variety of colors and the seller dud an excellent job of packaging and labeling each egg. I only have one of the splash and one of the porcelain and they are the ones with the spots.

Also, does it take longer to see progress in silkie eggs when candling vs other breeds?

I don't think meat/blood spots will affect the eggs hatching. Since silkie eggs are light colored they tend to be easier to candle. The develop at the same rate as other eggs so it doesn't take any longer than the average egg to see into them.
