the week of July 4th I ordered 2 dozen Blue laced reds wyandotte eggs from someone selling them on this forum. the eggs shipped the following week and of the 24 I ordered, 23 came in intact, one was broken. (no extra eggs were included) of those, at day 10 12 were found not viable/fertile, and of the rest, 4 hatched, and 2 died right after hatching.

I realize that shipping eggs is a risk. When I asked the seller about the issue, their response was that i should file a claim with USPS, which is what they say they recommend to anyone that has broken eggs on arrival. I let them know the day the eggs arrived that one was broken, and their only response was "weird" no advice beyond that.

is there anything i can do?

Unfortunately no. Shipping eggs, and ordering them is always a gamble. Generally if eggs get messed up it's because of rough handling of too much heat or cold in the shipping process. The seller cannot control what happens to the eggs after they turn them over to the PO.
