Lady Shawn
In the Brooder
This is my first time ever hatching shipped eggs.
The Ancona ducks came from AZ to AL. Not entirely sure what I was thinking. Of course they all arrived with detached egg cells, so I fat bottomed upped them in a couple of cartons, let rest for about 13 hours, popped them in the incubator still in carton, locked down for awhile (like 24 hours), candled to confirm air cell healing, and laid them on their sides, candled last night and saw signs of life in the couple I checked.
Nice run on sentence
Anyway, has anyone cooled and misted their shipped duck eggs after the first week in the Bator? If so, how was your hatch?
Have you notice improvement following that method?
Thanks for reading
