I ordered some hatching eggs and am expecting them any day now. Can I put them in the incubator right away or do I have to let them sit? Sit how? How should I prepare them? Thanks for the help.

let them sit for 24 hours to get to room temp if its cold there...

so they dont go into shock so to say with drastic temp changes....

Hello Mike-

You should unpackage, and then sit them in an egg carton with the pointy end down, in a nice even temperatured room, preferably the same room you will be incubating in. They should sit for 24 hours. This will help if there was any shaking around, which can cause a detatched air sac.

Good luck with your hatching!
