Broody Hen and Egg Adoption

Good Morning,
I will be getting a couple of fertilized eggs for my broody hen to hatch. Picking them up, they won't be shipped. I was wondering if I need to do anything special before putting the eggs under her? The info I found online refers to shipped eggs and letting them sit for about 12 hours before putting them in an incubator (not what I am doing).

Yeah, if you picked them up yourself no need to wait 12 hours. Unless, you have a bumpy road trip. The post office tosses and turn shipping eggs; but if you pick it up yourself that won't be an issue.
