shipped hatching eggs - what is expected?

I understand this very very well. I had about 36 eggs shipped to me and I have only 7 left that are on day 16. Then I got a farmers eggs and he gave me a dozen and I have 7 out of them, so only lost 4. I agree with you about the PO. It does do a number on those eggs. But alas I still buy eggs. LOL!

Depends on the breed, too. The BLRWs just don't ship well, but I've gone 12 for 12 on Buttercup eggs.

Are silkie eggs harder to hatch? I have hatched orp, ee, ameraucana, and BR eggs just fine. But I've had awful luck with all the silkie eggs I've tried to hatch.
