Shipped Monday no chicks Thursday... :( They are here (friday)

So nice to look at happy chicks that do not need lots of hands on.

Anyone know if 3 days is normal ship time? I am waiting for chicks from Mcmurry That were coming the 25th to the 27th I called today and they told me they were being shipped on sat with monday being a holiday I figure I won't see them till tues.I am a little concerned, Do I have reason to be? Or is this normal?

I could almost cry for those poor little babies waiting for someone to take them out of that box!!! I shouldn't say that I'm sure you are upset enough!!

I do want to think everyone who "talked" with me over this. It was so nice to have people who could understand and offer support and help. Especially support!

Here is a picture of one of the first survivors.

The first survivors are nice healthy strong birds but the wrong color.....I will talk to the hatchery but am at a lost what to truly say......

I live in MI, Ours were shipped either Fri or Sat, and our Post office called us Sunday morning. My guess they were sent out on Sat, because it was overnight shipping...at least that is what I thought.

I called mcmurry this morning and they told me my chicks were shipped on sunday..... It is almost 5pm......TUESDAY!!! postoffice said they have no more trucks due in today. check back in the morning........Nice! Why would you ship such a far distance on a sunday with monday being a holiday?

There is nothing fun about getting dead and dying chicks.
Do you have any gro-gel? I think that is what saved half of mine when they were 5 days in the mail.
Sure hope you get good news early in the morning.
