Shipping chicks

Aww, I bet they will be there today! I had an order sent from McMurray last Monday, and they arrived to Maine last Wednesday. I was so happy to open a box of lively, warm chicks!
Can't wait to see the photos of your new babies.

They are supposed to arrive today according to the post office! I can’t wait! I’ll definitely post pictures of them!

I’m getting 6 different breeds today plus a suprise chick.

I'm in the same boat with you. Ordered five assortment mystery chicks from Meyer Hatchery, they shipped out from the hatchery to the Ohio mail distribution center yesterday around 6PM, now they're just marked as "in transit". Super nerve-wracking. I left my phone number with the post office at the front desk to make SURE they know to call me as soon as they show up.

Yeah, it’s my first order with a hatchery.

Got my chicks about an hour ago and all were alive and well except one that had passed away during shipping. Our 15 other chicks are now in their brooder and are very happy. Our free surprise chick is a blue laced red Wyandotte! And I really hope it’s a pullet although I know a lot of times it’s a rooster. Here are some pictures!

I have 15 chicks plus a surprise chick coming from McMurray Hatchery and they have shipped today. I am really scared for them because they are shipping halfway across the country and they are so small. I know people do this all the time, but this is the first time I’ve had chicks shipped. Does anyone who has any experience with this have recommendations on how to make the chicks comfortable when they arrive, about how long it should take them to reach Tx, and how your experience was.

Thank you for any help,
-ChickenWhisperer101
My first 3 came from McMurray last year, and they arrived on a Thursday after a Tuesday ship. They are lovely ladies😉
I hope you're Little's arrive safe and sound
