So its been a crazy week. Sitting in the backyard while the chickens free ranged a coyote ran right by me and took a Silkie. I ran inside for the gun and he grabbed one of my big girls... etc etc. anyway I wanted to replace my chicks lost to the bald eagle and coyote over the last couple of weeks (five total) so I ordered from mypetchicken and cackle. 25 from each. I was afraid to tell my husband but then I broke it to him that I have 50 chicks on the way but I would find homes for half. He said "why, we should just keep them" ahhhh I knew he loved the chickens. We have fenced in about an acre in our backyard keeping most of the area near the trees and have hung a net across the smaller area where they go at night attached to the coop. Anyway rambling. Heres my question. Has anyone had success having chicks shipped all the way to Washington state????

Ask me after tomorrow. I have seven coming from Meyers.

I didn't order mine, but got them from Craigslist from somebody else who'd ordered them. I don't see why it would be a problem, WA can get overnight or 1-day mail just like any other of the continental states... if you were asking about Hawaii or Alaska I might be worried but in WA you should be fine. Good luck with your impending arrivals!
