I’m looking to order a couple of ducks from Metzer, but I live in Arizona so I’m not sure how they’ll do in shipping. Do the ducks do well shipping in the heat and will they arrive alive?

Chances are EXCELLENT that the hatchery is acquainted with weather patterns all over the country and won't ship if they aren't confident the the chicks are going to make it.

Still, if you find someone who will ship, make sure the post office will contact you as immediately as possible and show up right away with a small waterer, some bottled water and some Nutridrench to make sure they get well hydrated right away. Then you can reseal the package, start the car and get them home.
