I hatched a gorgeous Gabbard Silver Laced Wyandotte in Aug and we're now sure he's a roo. I can't keep him, but my brother in Boulder, UT needs a roo. How possible is it to ship my roo to him? Any hints on shipping prices/policies?

Quote:First you need to talk to your post office to make sure you can ship out a live bird. You will need to get a Horizon shipping box the right size for large poultry from a company, plus you have a hefty fee for shipping out of your post office. Last time I shipped a bird he weighed around 13 lbs. so it was 35.00 to 40.00 for him from my place to his destination one state away.

Here is a link example of the type of bird box you will need to get.
