Hi, I just brought home a new hen yesterday who is probably a few weeks before starting to lay. She came from a reputable place and looks very healthy and is eating but seems very very nervous at our place. She really wants to be with my other hen, she is laying or standing over by that side of the temporary coop every time I look out there and was even roosted towards the others coop this morning. When I go out she stands up and starts to shiver but is talkative with me when my other hen is talking to me. She doesn't have a droopy looking tail and isn't doing anything weird with her wings. The shivering is the only thing that concerns me. Any ideas...I'm new to this chicken thing!

Could just be from stress. Chickens do better gotten in pairs. A single chicken is a frightened stressed chicken.
