Shocked at the difference! First egg, yay!

We got our first egg today, and finally, when everyone was home, we cracked it open. What a difference from the store bought. Both are organic cage free

Guess which one came from one of our girls! They turn 18 weeks tomorrow. Not sure who was first as several look past ready

Then we ate it!

People seem to have a hard time noticing the difference if the eggs aren't right next to each other.
There is mos def a difference though!

store bought eggs are starting to gross me out, they are sooo like watery, I was so tired of trying to fry an egg over easy and haaving the yolk fall apart. the home grown are so much firmer and nicer, that was the deal breaker for me, and I just didn't want to support battery cage farmers anymore.

Yeah, I was surprised to find out that "cage free" doesn't actually, legally, mean they even get to go outside. They can all just be on the floor in a building. Doesn't change the taste like outdoor life does!
