OK, I was down at the coop, deciding where, how and with what I was going to build nest boxes … I’d absently picked up an egg from the ground, and after sort of eyeing the two spots I was considering for the boxes, I reached back to my back pocket where I had the measuring tape clipped…. Yep, you guessed it, the yolk was on me!!! Running down my right ‘cheek’ and leg!!!

lol thats kinda happened to me ...I put eggs in my pocket and forgot...I bent down to get something..and yeah...egg all over in my pocket...

Last winter my 4 y/o DS was 'helping' me gather eggs. I think it was either an egg from my bantam cochins, or from my mf d'uccles hen, either way, it was a very special egg, so I put this one in my pocket so he wouldn't break it. Then, like an idiot, I stretched over the rabbit cage to get some eggs out of the nest on the wall, and smashed that darn egg right in my pocket!!

Should have let the kid carry it.

I had a lot of mishaps with that jacket, there was another time, right after my ducks had started laying. I needed 1 egg to fill an order, and luckily I found one. Put it in my pocket, then bent over to pick something up, or pet the dog or something. Of course the darned egg fell right out and broke in a million pieces!!

I need a new coat, one that's not so long!

Was bringing in a few eggs one time and dropped one. I caught it hacky-sack style on my shoe....was so darn excited I dropped the other 6 on the floor.

I don't think you can call yourself a chicken owner if you haven't broken an egg in your pocket. That "pop" is kind of a sickening sound though, isn't it?

I'm embarrassed to admit this one. 4 eggs in left hand. 2 eggs in right hand. Carefully maneuvering door knob with right hand. Pop. Reflex opens hand. Drop.

Ugh. Mess in hand and on shoe. Ewwww.

Well, mine isn't about an egg but I was in the coop at dark one night and all my chickens were up in their roost. I bend over to pick up the feeder and empty/refill/put it back against the wall and splat, a chicken pooped and it hit me on the back of the neck!!

My dh told me just to be thankful I wasn't looking UP.

Oh that’s funny Chicks_N_Horses! OK, here’s another one, non-egg, non-chicken related.

Went grocery shopping last week, Wednesday I think, bought a watermelon, a nice small one on sale for a very good price! Friday, I remembered it, and didn’t see it, looked all over for it! Was busy though and I thought, “I’ll find it…” got busy with other stuff, forgot for the moment…. Saturday, company coming, looked for the darned thing again, looked in the basement, looked on the porch, looked in the car port, looked under the TABLE! :shrug: Who KNOWS where I put it! Too busy to keep looking, but it was BOTHERING me!!! Oh well, still busy, can’t let it drag me down.

Monday, I went out to our second car, a bit of a beater, but it runs well, gets good mileage and pulls the utility trailer, so I’m not going to argue with the dents from the tree falling on it… or from the time the deer ran INTO it on the back passenger door WHILE it was moving at around 35 mph! (crazy deer!) Guess what I found!!! Who KNEW I took that car shopping last week!!!!
