Short, white, handsome and mysterious...

I'm still getting one egg a day. I THINK I know who my gal is, and I THINK it's my solid white one. Yay!

Last night I got my 5th egg, which is the 3rd I've saved for eating. This morning I decided to make some 1-egg-cornbread. When I opened the 3 eggs up, they were all fertile!

That means at least one of my quail is a mystery man. None of them have crowed, so I thought they were all gals.

I see a bump on the smallest, oldest one. It's also the one who makes that noise I asked about before. Maybe he's just a mild-mannered, quiet crower.

Because it sure doesn't sound like the ones I hear on here or Youtube. This is especially cool since he's from a different breeder. I wanted some diversity.

When I got down to only 3 quail, I resigned myself to the fate of having all girls. But now...do you know what this means? It means I can hatch all I want, and I don't have to pay for the privilege! ege! (Unless I don't get any Tuxedos from the batch I have going now.)
