Hi! So I noticed today when I got home my black star had a red earlobe, the other side isn’t red like that! Can someone help me on what’s happening or what to do?! She doesn’t seem to be in pain or acting different. Sorry about the bad pics, they are hard to get pics of.

How old is she?
She doesn’t look full grown yet, so that red lobe might be growing into its full grown version. The other lobe will also change if she is still a pullet
She’s only 9 weeks. After a lot of stress and research. I think you’re right. She’s a 9 week old Black star, I’m pretty sure she’s just starting to mature. But it freaked me out only one lobe is like that. She’s eating, drinking, and doing chicken stuff. Thank you so much for your reply. !

You’re welcome!
I understand how scary it can be, if something on one of your chickens changes. Trust me, I worry about my flock all the time :)
It’s good to ask questions!
Have a great day 🐓
