Hi everyone,

I noticed that my rooster has developed a small lump just below or next to his ear on one side. It looks like a smooth bump or swelling – not open, no discharge, and it doesn’t seem painful. He’s behaving completely normally: eating, crowing, moving around, and not scratching or bothering the area at all.

Few days ago he finished a course of antibiotics due to a leg injury (which has healed fine), so I’m wondering if this lump might be related to an immune response or something similar. Should I be concerned, or just keep monitoring it for now?

Try to clean his ear canal with a QTip and some vaseline, and see if it has any gunk inside. Ear infections or a peck to the ear could cause infection. What antibiotic did you recently use on him?

Okey, I am gonna look at it. I used pills with enrofloxacinum and ointment with tetracycline hydrochloride, neomycin, bacitracin, prednisolone
Thats what vet gave us. He had a wound that wouldn't heal.

Okey, so I think ear canal is clean, didnt see any gunk. But I saw some lice eggs (u can see them on the photo) and I checked and there were lice on his skin. I used lice powder with permethrin on him. Does the lump could make becouse of lices?
