Should ducklings sleep in the dark?

Pics
It looks fine only you can tell if it’s too tight . But it has to be snug or they can get out of it. Leave it on all day today then unwrap tomorrow and see how they look if still poking out rewrap.

Her wings are looking much better but still not completely fixed. When we took it off though the rest of her wings was sort of lying on the top of her other wing. Is this normal? Will it fix itself?

Yes it will fix it self as she exercises after the wrap is off. Maybe only a few more days of wrapping. How much of her flight feathers have grown out?

Sorry, it's been a while. Buttercup is all grown up! Her wing is better, but still hasn't left home. Is that bad? She doesn't really fly for more then 10 secs. :p

She is home! Why would she want to leave? If you don’t want to take care of her any longer get in touch with a wild life rehabber that way she’ll survive. She may not survive if she leaves or if you decided to take her back where you found her since she wasn’t taught to make it on her own like a mama duck would do.

Hey!! This is an old thread but I’m curious to know how buttercup is doing?!

Oh hey!! I haven't been online in so long sorry. Well since when I last posted we're pretty sure she became a he... Lol. He started to be like our little body guard and would chase away cats and things haha. But sadly he died, it was so terrible. He never learned to fly properly and get any height so that didn't help. We think an animal got to him because we found him on our lawn stretched out with a wound in his side. It was a shock cause we had started to take his company for granted. I'm sorry for not keeping in touch but thanks for all your help and everything everyone!! I honestly couldn't have brought him up and kept him alive for so long without you all. He was happy while he was alive and I'm sure he's in heaven now <3

We got our duckling yesterday and we're not quite sure how old she is. We've given her water and cat food mixed with soggy toast. We're worried that she's not settling in well because she hasn't been sleeping for long. We have a heat lamp but I'm scared that it's too bright for her to sleep with. She's also not moving around much. We don't know if we're doing something wrong or if this is normal. HELP PLEASE!
Not supposed to feed them any bread, the ducklings belly will swell up and just normal daylight is good for them and also ducklings need a companion it's more healthy for them...
