Hi Guys

I have while Leghorn pullets, about 7-8 days old. I know what is their daily requirement (Please correct if i am wrong)
which is about 6-7 grams per day per chick.

My question is that do i have to keep their feed plate with some food in it all the time, or is there any fix timing when i feed them.
like 3-4 or 6 times a day.

Thanx in advance

I don't actually know how much a chick is supposed to eat per day. I put food in their bowl and when it gets low I clean it up (if needed) and top it up again. This way there is always food available and the chicks can eat when they are hungry.

But that's not a Broiler chicken, where you need feed all the time, so that it can convert into cash.

Chicks need feed available all the time, regardless of breed or final purpose.

When feeding adult birds, there are different views: twice daily feedings of as much as they can finish in fifteen minutes, or free feeding. I am in the latter camp, as I keep their feeders topped daily.
