I went to TSC last night to get a feeder, some chic starter and a waterer for the welsummer eggs that are due to hatch around the 1st. My mistake was going over to look at the chicks. They had "mixed pullets" that looked to be a week or so old for 3/$1.00. I couldn't resist so now there are 6 little yellow chicks in a tote next to the bator in my basement. The chicks are yellow with brown stripes down their backs. My son thinks the feathers coming in on their wings are white. I think the have some light brown in them. Any ideas on what kind of chickens these may be?

Sorry for the lousy picture. They are under a red heat lamp.

I know! I had to hold back. We are first timers and have 18 eggs in the bator right now. I just built an 6x10 coop so don't want to end up with too many birds. Just couldn't help myself.
