Should I add a Polish or a Silkie?

I don't know anything about polish but I have seen there really pretty, but I own silkies and I love them, there so calm and cuddly, and they lay good when there not broody, but they get broody a lot which is a down side for some people but I love having natural incubator ;)

I don't know about Polish, though some of my Araucanas have produced cross-bred chicks that grew up to look like Polish - with the disadvantage of a bouffant hairdo that keeps them at the bottom of the pecking order because the feathers partially block their vision.

Silkies usually have great personalities and bond well to their humans. They are of course annoyingly prone to go broody - one of mine is on her 3rd or 4th brood since last spring (I'm in the Southern Hemisphere). The little twerp is plucking her chest and belly, with winter only a month away!

The other issue I find with Silkies is that if they cross-breed, they can produce really pretty offspring, but the flesh is often an ugly grey or black (and doesn't look appetizing if you have to eat a rooster - which I hate having to do).
