Should I be concerned about this comb?

Hi friends,

Noticed this change in my hen’s comb a day ago . Seems dry to the touch . Any ideas what it might be?

Thank you!

Looks like dry skin.. on her face and wattles also.

Folks who show poultry use some type of oil to address it and make it *look* nicer..

functionally speaking.. does it seem to be extra itchy to her or anything like that? Does it feel smooth like the rest of her comb, or is rough?

It feels dry to the touch and almost a bit rough. She’s only 9 months old and not molting
